According to Dr Sharib:
"Dhul-Jalali-wa'l-Ikram is the One Who commands ultimate perfection and Who
is supreme in respect of Majesty, Honour, and Bounty. He confers honour and
respect upon whomsoever He likes."
To emulate this name we are advised to try to subdue and surrender our self
to Him Who alone is the supreme Sovereign. We are told to admit His
grandeur, greatness and power with all our heart.
Appropriate recitation attracts reverence, respect, honour, and dignity.

The human face is the main point of our attention when we look at someone.
From the subtle changes in the face we are able to read different expressions,
moods, emotions and so on. Indeed how can we conceive of the face as other
than an expression of some sort - even an 'expressionless' face actually
conveys something. So the human face itself cannot perhaps be distinguished
from it's particular expression/s. In the verse quoted above the holy Qur'an
refers to the 'face of God', but we cannot think that is intended to suggest a
face in the human sense. By comparison, however, we may get an
understanding of the relationship between God's qualities and His essence.
Though we only know a human face through the medium of its expressions, we
understand that such expressions cannot exist without the face. Similarly we
may conjecture that we only know God through His qualities, but understand
that His essence is thereby implicit.- but God knows best.
In this case the qualities that emanate are those of 'majesty, bounty, and
honour' and these seem to be quite comprehensive.
