According to Dr Sharib:
"At-Tawwwaab is the One Who enables people to offer repentance after
every sin committed and Who accepts the humbleness, invocations, and
requests of the people with His gracious mercy and forgiveness."
To emulate this name we are advised to offer repentance to Allah, and to
forgive and overlook the mistakes of omission and commission of others.
Appropriate recitation secures real and genuine repentance, enables
one to have one's affairs settled amicably and to one's satisfaction, and
brings joy and spiritual ecstasy in prayers. It can deliver one from the
control of a tyrant.

Some other references:
Then learnt Adam from His Lord
Words of inspiration, and His Lord
Turned towards him; for He
Is Oft-Returning, Most Merciful.
Al-Ghazali says:
"....The Ever-Relenting makes reference to facilitating the causes of
repentance in His servants time and time again by manifesting to them
some of His signs, conveying His counsel to them and disclosing His
deterrents and warnings to them - to the point where, once informed by
His instruction of the dangers of their sins, they will begin to experience
the fear occasioned by His deterrents and have recourse to repentance,
so that the favour of God the Most High will return to them on His
accepting (their turning to Him)."

Come, come, whoever you are, it doesn't matter,
Whether you are an idolater, an unbeliever or a fire-worshiper,
Come, our court is not the place of disappointment,
Come, even if you have broken your vows of repentance a hundred
times, come again.
Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi.
Greater no doubt than my sins, Thy mercy divine,
Ever and anon I have calculated the sins of mine;
True, from head to foot, I am full of sins,
But they do not exceed Thy mercy; O how fine.
( Sarmad and His Rubaiyat. Z. H. Sharib. Sharib Press. 1994.)
Although my sins He knows,
His mercy and bounty He ever shows;
I hesitated in fear and hope,
But ever His grace He confers and bestows.
( Sarmad and His Rubaiyat. Z. H. Sharib. Sharib Press. 1994.)
It is thought by some, that the words of inspiration taught to Adam that
are referred to in the passage from the holy Qur'an quoted above, may
have included the divine names.
Repentance is recognised by Sufis as the first and necessary stage for
spiritual growth and development.
