According to Dr Sharib:
"Al-Wakil is the One Who performs well all matters entrusted to Him."
To emulate the name we are advised to entrust all matters to Allah and
repose trust in Him. Also not to lag behind in helping others as everyone
is Wakeel to everyone else.
Appropriate recitation secures increasing sustenance and help in day to
day matters from the unseen.

Some other references:
That is Allah your Lord!
There is no god but He,
The Creator of all things:
Then worship ye Him:
And He hath power
To dispose of all affairs.
Al-Ghazali says that only to God can all things be entrusted with perfect
surety. Man either receives trusteeship from some source other than
himself, or may not deserve his guardianship, or carries it out imperfectly
or is unable to carry it out. None of these conditions apply to God.

Al-Wakil. He who provides a means to solve all problems in the best way.
Shemsuddin Halveti al-Jerrahi Al-Haji Sheikh Muzaffereddin
Reposing trust in God is known amongst the sufis as Tawakul.
God has also given man a guardianship role in relation to the parts of
His creation over which He has given man the vice-regency. This
includes not only mineral, vegetable, and animal levels of creation, but
other men and women and children, the oppressed, the dispossessed,
the poor, the depressed, the weak (of mind and /or body), the ill, the
helpless, the invalid, and the dependent.
To entrust all things to the One Who Alone is Trustworthy is not to
remove the duty of care we owe to one another. However imperfect our
stewardship the effort is required of us, just as prayer is required -
although He already knows our needs. The results of our sincere effort
we must entrust to Him.
