Imam Yahya Speech about Imam Hussain

Let us begin with a poem about Imam Hussain by Hazrat Khawja Saheb.

شاه است حسین پادشاه است حسین

دین است حسین ، دینپناه است حسین

سر داد و نداد دست در دست یزید

حقا که بنای لا اله است حسین

Here’s an English translation of the verses by deepseek Ai:

**Husayn is the King,**

**Husayn is the Sovereign,**

**Husayn is the Faith,**

**Husayn is the Guardian of the Faith.**

*He gave his head but never gave his hand to Yazid,*

*Truly, Husayn is the foundation of “There is no god .”*

Many years before on this day Hazrat Imam Hussain, the beloved and grandson of the holy Prophet, Dear Son of Hazrat Fatima and Hazrat Ali Morteza and brother of the Imam Hassan, light of the Islam society and the radiance of sacrifice was martyred in the land of Karbala with his few but brave companions that count to 72 . They were killed by the ruler of that time called Yazid and his many soldiers because they refused to accept his leadership for the islamic society. Though they were much less in numbers but they were much more in spirits, after all these years the thing that remained alive is Imam Hussain and his name and the name of his companions and they became a symbol of sacrifice, strength, courage and also a symbol of not being overcome by cruelty. He knew that he may be dead after this war but his belief in Allah was so much that he even took all of his family with himself. He knew that end of this road may be coloured by his blood but this was the road of Truth that he travelled and he knew that this war and his blood will remain forever a light for humanity and will be a motivator for those who live in cruelty and injustice.

In Ajmer during these days they don’t play any Qawali٫ Hazrat Zahur Mian and Nawab Saheb wrote some poems about Imam Hussain and in Turkey Hazrat Nuri Baba also paid lots of respect and attention to these days and stories of Karbala. The anniversary of his death is celebrated in different countries all around the world and lots of people remember and speak about his braveness. But there arent many people even now who really understand his virtues and live those virtues in their life. Those virtues belong to few, those who are really seeking the Truth by their hearts (and those who really treading the path of Islam).

Hazrat Mevlana condemned those who mourn just outwardly for Imam Hussain and says thus: “then o sleepers mourn for yourselves , for this heavy slumber is an evil death. Mourn for thy corrupt heart and religion for it sees not but this old earth. Or if it is seeing why is it not brave and supporting and self sacrificing and fully contented. We can see in this poem some of the qualities and virtues that we might earn if we truly feel and see what has happened in Karbala. Let us hope that we be one of those who really understand, feel and embrace Karbala and of those who really understand Imam Hussain. And now let us finish with a poem of Khawje Saheb

*کاری که حسین*

*اختیار کردی*

*در گلشن مصطفی*
