The Psalm of Life

The third in the Psalms trilogy. Life as we know it is a passing phase but it must be lived with the values of the real and enduring. Here Dr Sharib provides us with a framework for living which is at once practical, moral and spiritual. The title of some of the chapters such as The Joy of Work, The Value of Friendship, The Spirit of Self Help, The Importance of Little Things etc. may give an indication of its range. In certain respect it follows in the literary traditions of the Victorian moralists such as Samuel Smiles but brings to that genre the vitality and universality of Islamic Mysticism at its best and most relevant to modern life.
